Benjamin Wells my 5x Great Grandfather

My 5x great grandfather Benjamin Wells born in 1784 lived in this house 11 whites row in Spitalfields in 1827 until 1847 when he died.
This building at 11 whites row is now today called Gunpowder which is a restaurant.
My 5x great grandfather was a locksmith and had his own shop at 7 Booth street Spitalfields.

After WWI, Princelet Street found itself elongated when Booth Street – the adjacent road east of Brick Lane – was renamed Princelet Street to avoid confusion. But although the original houses of Booth Street were laid out in 1681, they were largely demolished in the late 19th century and rebuilt with more modern terraces and, later, social housing.
